Outbound Specialist (1st Shift) 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars Lebanon, TN 37090 Job Summary The Outbound Specialist is responsible for efficiently and accurately packing customer orders while maintaining quality and speed to ensure customer orders are processed in a timely and secure manner. This role stays in regular contact with leadership to help meet daily goals and assist with team projects. Responsibilities Clearly communicate with the manager any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties. Continuously observe the team and suggest changes to supervisor. Ensure all any orders discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner. Assist in waving orders efficiently and effectively to meet daily output goals. Responsible for overseeing post wave research and managing aged orders. Ensure any issues preventing orders from being fulfilled are being addressed through the proper channels at areas included but not limited to CVP, AutoStore, Specialty Pack, Putwall, Non-Con, and Jackpot lane. Monitor and communicate questions/problems from the radio. Stock supplies as needed. Maintain, log, and put up Go-Backs. Help with scanner check in/out process as needed. Make basic fixes to packing equipment and notify support or facilities of unresolved issues. Prep/Pack orders as needed or during downtime. Monitor CVP operations including orders, damage log etc. Monitor and maintain packing equipment; notify support or facilities of unresolved issues. Ensure proper email follow-up with incoming and outgoing requests. Monitor conveyor belt movement for efficiency. Maintain a clean work area that is safe and organized. Maintain a good working relationship with other specialists to flex when needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal. Physical Requirements Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs. Experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence. Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations. Education This role does not require a degree.
