Job Description
Review projects to determine inventory requirements, and understand product requirements and specifications; Develop and implement strategies to ensure the timely procurement of materials, components, and equipment needed for projects; Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and responsiveness; Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance, and regularly evaluate suppliers against these metrics to address any performance issues; Manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and handling contract renewals or modifications as needed; Manage and control the issuance of purchase orders; Implement inventory control measures to manage inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs; Utilize inventory and cost analysis reports and reconcile stock discrepancies with suppliers; Analyze, research, and recommend alternative sources of supply for usage and cost savings; Monitor market trends, conduct cost analysis, and identify opportunities for cost savings and cost optimization; and Oversee a team of subordinate employees, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
