Schroll@RobertHalf com. Fully on-site role, 5 days per week in office. Robert Half is sourcing for a Purchasing Manager position with a valued client in the Fairfield/Bridgeport/Stratford area. This will be a fully hands-on role handling all procurement and inventory functions for the organization. This is newly created due to growth, taking responsibilities off of the plate of other staff members. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of purchasing/procurement/inventory/supply chain experience and be able to enhance/implement new strategies and cost-saving measures for the company.

Responsibilities :

Purchasing services, parts, equipment and materials Vendor and supplier sourcing and negotiations Implement inventory system Inventory management Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Ideal experience:

3-5 years of relevant supply chain experience Previous experience purchasing for auto/truck parts or within the construction industry is preferred ERP experience Certification in supply chain management or inventory practices, such as CPIM, is highly desirable.
