Position Summary:
The Director of Procurement is responsible for planning, sourcing, and coordinating the procurement of materials to support manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and inventory optimization. This role ensures supplier performance aligns with company goals for quality, delivery, and margin while maintaining compliance with internal processes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage material procurement to meet production and shipping schedules. Utilize MRP/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) to drive purchasing decisions. Negotiate with and evaluate vendors to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and service. Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile variances. Lead supplier sourcing initiatives, including establishing and maintaining supply chains. Manage engineering change notifications with appropriate vendor coordination. Support initiatives to reduce lead times, improve delivery and quality, and strengthen supplier relationships. Ensure adherence to procurement quality procedures and inventory control standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience. Proficient in MRP/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office tools. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, manage priorities, and drive process improvements.
Preferred:
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Epicor, or NetSuite.

$90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
