The Purchasing Manager / Interior Design oversees the procurement process for multiple hospitality projects, managing a combined FF&E and OS&E budget of at least $10 million across 10+ projects. This role coordinates with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate procurement aligned with brand standards and project specifications. The position includes supervising Project Expeditors, managing budgets, resolving issues, and supporting the overall design and logistics process from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage procurement for multiple projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications and brand standards Lead and mentor at least one Project Expeditor Collaborate with designers, architects, engineers, and vendors to finalize selections and specifications Source new vendors and obtain competitive pricing, lead times, and availability Prepare and maintain sample binders, design libraries, and project files Assist in design selections including furniture, fabrics, finishes, and drapery Enter and validate project specifications in management software under the guidance of the Director of Preconstruction & Estimating Issue and manage RFPs and conduct supplier evaluations Prepare tender analysis reports for leadership review Create project timelines and delivery schedules in coordination with the project team Ensure purchase orders are accurate and distributed promptly Monitor lead times, resolve procurement issues, and maintain communication with all stakeholders Oversee order receiving and logistics support Track project budgets and submit detailed progress and reconciliation reports Manage invoice and credit processing with the accounting team Allocate resources effectively to meet departmental and project deadlines • Promote a collaborative, growth-oriented team environment

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field 2-4 years of relevant experience; construction or hospitality experience preferred

Skills:

Strong understanding of procurement and interior design processes Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD, and Revit Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Reasoning & Communication Abilities:

Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders Strong analytical and decision-making skills Capable of creating reports and presentations for leadership and clients

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and communicate clearly Occasionally required to climb, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 10 lbs Visual requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision
