Job Description
Procurement Unit Manager Seminole Tribe of Florida Hollywood, FL 33024 • Hybrid work The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing all administrative and supervisory activities related to the procurement operations supporting the ordering of goods and services for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual supervises subordinate staff that is responsible for reviewing and approving the purchase of goods and services via purchase orders, corporate credit cards or other procurement vessels, and for the administration, testing and security access management of the Tribe’s Purchasing ERP functionality while ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. The individual manages supplier/vendor relationships, researches, evaluates and buys products and services for all departments across the Tribe to be used in their daily operations. This individual supports and maintains the interfaces to and from the Tribe’s Procurement ERP application, working closely with the IT Application Team on various ERP application enhancements and projects in order to meet the functional needs of all department/areas related to Purchasing. Bachelor’s degree with coursework in public or business administration or closely related field is required. A minimum of six (6) years of related experience in a large centralized purchasing operation including three (3) years in governmental purchasing and three (3) years in a supervisory position is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Knowledge and understanding of inventory/purchase order management processes is required. Prior Lawson experience is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
