$75k – $100k per year (DOE) About the position We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations for HVAC materials, equipment, and subcontracted services. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in vendor negotiation, inventory control, and project coordination, ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and improve existing purchasing processes. Source, evaluate, and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and meet project timelines. Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and warehouse staff to forecast needs and ensure material availability. Monitor open purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up and closure. Maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess. Review purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and compliance with policies. Track and report procurement metrics (e.g., lead times, cost savings, vendor performance). Ensure adherence to internal controls and safety regulations. Lead continuous improvements in procurement systems and practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
