Azuria.com Summary of Position The Director of Procurement will report to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and will be an integral part of our Supply Chain Team working daily with our Manufacturing, Operations, Equipment, Legal, and Finance Teams. In this position, The Director of Procurement , will be responsible for a 5-person team, assigned to managing ~$500M annual spend in direct and indirect material across our company. As a critical part of the Supply Chain Team, The Procurement team owns management of our total spend, setting the strategy with our internal partners. The team manages year over year cost out, identifying and managing our productivity funnel, and oversees supplier management: contractual adherence, quarterly business reviews, and supplier scorecards. As Director of Procurement , the candidate will own these efforts and will be tasked with transforming the team, driving them to become best in class. This position requires 20% travel, and candidate will be required to work out of an onsite office. Responsibilities Develop team through mentorship and create an organization that is accountable and that are the SME’s of their categories. Drive a positive culture, that works cross-functionally across our business. Establish clear goals to ensure adherence to annual targets. Establish clear KPI’s around our business spend and manage key projects driving these. Work with Business Intelligence Team to operationalize data into interactive dashboards. Lead weekly / monthly operating mechanisms on key cost out activities and strategic projects, communicating with leadership on critical information such as tariffs, sourcing initiatives, and system / process improvements. Drive key procurement process improvements around: RFP’s, Supplier Scorecards, Quarterly Business Reviews, Supplier Engagements, and Contract Management. Own Procure to Pay IT systems, assessing current tools and developing strategic plan to improve. Drive digitization efforts using Lean and other tools to improve. Participate in daily production meeting, SIOP, and other production related rhythms, helping team resolve any supplier / supply chain issues. Work cross-functionally with team on annual budget process providing key inputs on procurement activities. Responsible for clearly articulating supply chain risks that impact cash and YoY inflation / deflation. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, finance, or supply chain. 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain leading teams. Broad understanding of Supply Chain concepts, such as demand planning, buying, inventor management, and S&OP. Demonstrated history of building and transforming teams. Effective negotiator with thorough understanding of key contract terms, and record of delivering favorable contract outcomes. Demonstrated history of establishing and fostering supplier relationships. Critical thinking skills with ability to independently mine, transform, and analyze large amounts of data using various systems and data analytics tools. Executive level written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with using ERP systems and other procurement software (JDE, SAP, Coupa etc.). Ability to travel domestically ~20% of the time. Desired Skills MBA or other procurement certifications, such as: CSCP, CPIM, or CPSM. Experience and understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Prior history of enacting change both organizationally and across IT system. Knowledge of big data, working in Power BI, and ability digitize KPI’s. Business acumen with ability to translate results to balance sheet. Experience in infrastructure construction, manufacturing, and or subcontracting. Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
