Procurement Manager We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced procurement manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will manage our company’s supply operations for products and services (direct and indirect spending), overseeing multiple responsibilities. You should be committed to discovering cost-effective deals and suppliers to build partnerships, allowing the company to invest in growth and people.
Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing:
Implement and utilize sourcing strategies in conjunction with procurement objectives. Build forecasts/models to optimize spending and proactively manage procurement cycles. Run RFx processes and competitive sourcing events where necessary, ensuring the best pricing and terms Attending industry trade shows to learn about and stay current on trends and to meet suppliers.
Vendor Relationship:
Oversee supply base needs; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts for goods and services Support tracking and maintain a set budget for key suppliers. Support managing the procurement projects workflow from initiation to completion Build up vendor relationships with partners strategically and proactively remediate supply constraints.
Daily Procurement Operations:
Developing databases of potential suppliers and cultivating working relationships to ease the process of acquiring new products and components. Foresee trends for raw materials and predict alterations in the negotiating ability with suppliers Anticipated unfavorable events through data analysis and prepared control strategies Collaborate with key cross-functional team members to ensure clear communication regarding specific projects and company expectations. Manage supplier scorecard measurement system to track supply base values Process Development /
Process Improvement:
Identify and challenge process inefficiencies across Procurement operations Design and implement sustainable processes that target the overarching issues, not just patches and point solutions.
Requirements:
Requirements and Qualifications B.S. degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or similar. Or combination of school and experience. Successful work experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Planning, Purchasing, or another relevant role. Experience in negotiating and networking. Knowledge of supplier or third-party management Significant experience in collecting and analyzing data. Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory. Working knowledge of ERP systems or MS Business Central and Stock-IQ, NetSuite with a focus on Purchasing and Planning transactions Ability to influence Company strategies requiring cross-functional support at different levels of the organization. 10% to 25% Travel Work schedule: 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
