procurement This role will be responsible for leading and optimizing our direct procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the end-to-end STP process for direct procurement, from sourcing and purchase order creation to goods receipt, invoice processing, and payment. Optimize direct procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supplier relationships. Ensure seamless integration between SAP MM and SAP Finance modules for accurate and timely financial reporting. Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct materials, aligning with business objectives and supply chain goals. Manage supplier relationships, including supplier selection, negotiation, performance evaluation, and contract management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, planning, quality, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective communication. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices to streamline procurement operations. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement performance and identify areas for improvement. Provide guidance, training, and support to procurement team members. Lead or participate in SAP implementation or upgrade projects related to procurement and materials management. Manage and mitigate risks in the procurement process, including supply disruptions, price volatility, and supplier performance issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in direct procurement, with a strong focus on SAP MM and SAP FI integration. Deep understanding of end-to-end STP processes, including sourcing, purchasing, goods receipt, and invoice processing. Extensive hands-on experience with SAP MM configuration and functionality, including purchase orders, contracts, scheduling agreements, and inventory management. Solid understanding of SAP FI modules related to procurement, such as accounts payable, general ledger, and payment processing. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with
SAP S/4HANA.
Experience with e-procurement tools and platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba). Knowledge of contract law and supplier relationship management best practices. Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, SCOR-P). Experience in a manufacturing industry.
