Essential Functions:
Analyzes markets and vendor conditions for quality, availability and price of materials. In accordance with company policies and internal controls, develop and implement purchasing procedures and manage the workflow of the department. Monitors requisition activity to ensure that all requests are handled and processed in a timely manner. Evaluate and monitor the supplier community entailing meetings, conferences and product review. Records and facilitates RFP’s according to priority and schedule. Develops, updates, maintains and enforces purchasing policies and procedures. Coordinates procedures with all departments. Reviews of bids and quotations obtained and make selections and recommendations. Prepare detailed reports regarding all aspects of the procurement process as required. Provides detailed analysis and implementation for all special projects as required. Always promotes positive supplier and associate relations. Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Negotiates with vendors the best possible price and service guarantee. Maintain Collateral & Disposable Inventory Seeks competitive quotes for all material purchases. Check requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers. Works closely with warehouse management to ensure proper supplies arrive. Maintain the vendor database and related documentation. Maintain proper purchasing process and Safety Concerns. Track shorts and out of stocks from purchase orders daily. Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
Internal Relationships Reports to:
Executive Director of Supply Chain External Relationships Have regular contact with vendors. Working with Warehouse Manager to Direct Clerks as needed. Must work daily as required with the other departments, and outlet managers. regarding purchasing of stocked goods as business levels dictate. Qualifications Must have a minimum of 4 years of Hotel’Resort Purchasing Management experience dealing with vendors to purchase materials that must meet specific requirements, developing criteria for competitive pricing and procuring the materials. Must have experience reviewing product data to ensure the material meets the purchasing requirements. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.). Proficient in Inventory and Ordering Control software systems. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines. Ability to Prioritize / Delegate / Complete tasks as required. Ability to maintain composure and function well in a demanding environment. Be able to withstand extreme temperatures of Coolers and Freezers for extended periods of time if needed. ( -10 to 40 Degrees) Education / Experience Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalency Required 2 yrs. + Data Entry or Administrative Experience Required Forklift Certification preferred

Physical Requirements Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hr. work week. Flexible hours to include weekends and holidays. Must have reliable transportation. Be able to support a clean and professional work appearance according to TBR handbook. Job Duties performed in regular office conditions which require sitting at a desk for prolonged periods of time and working on a computer. Stand for 2 Hrs + daily as needed. Be able to lift over 50 lbs. as needed. Be able to physically withstand Cold temperatures between -10 degrees F thru 40 degrees F for business operation needs as coolers and freezers are our responsibility to maintain.
