Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimize inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and conditions.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and ensure adequate supply chain management.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee the contract management process, including reviewing terms, conditions, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics activities to ensure efficient transportation and delivery of goods.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed purchasing decisions.
