Job Description

Mill Manager

Are you ready to take the reins as a Mill Manager? We’re looking for a skilled leader to optimize operations in our gypsum wallboard manufacturing process. As Mill Manager, you’ll ensure critical equipment’s safe and efficient performance, manage raw material logistics, and uphold high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. Maintain a high standard for safety, quality, housekeeping, productivity, and performance for all departmental employees.
Ensure the safe operation of 2 cage mills, 2 impact mills, a 110 tph flash calcining mill, and all associated equipment to improve and optimize the efficiency and consistency of the wallboard manufacturing process.
Facilitate the maintenance of the Active Storage Yard, Mill Process, and all associated mobile equipment and infrastructure.
Coordinate with the Purchasing Department to schedule, receive, and distribute raw materials required for plant operations, including all wet and dry additives, paper, and fuel for mobile equipment.
Liaison with our gypsum suppliers
Manages the operation of any internal transfer or external sale of stucco, including loading, weighing, and shipping requirements.
Analyzes all testing and inspection procedures to ensure a uniform stream of stucco meeting all quality specifications required for the manufacture of all finished good products.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management or Geology Preferred
3+ years hands-on Manufacturing Required
5-7 years prior experience supervising salaried and hourly employees
Experience with vendors, customers and contract negotiations
Knowledge of gypsum wallboard manufacturing requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
