General Summary:

This position is a key member to the power tailgate product and will work on a cross functional team as a Procurement Leader responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing of goods and services for an organization, ensuring they are acquired at the best value while maintaining quality and meeting business needs. The person that assumes this role will work closely with the supply chain and logistics team to fulfill corporate goals. Responsibilities –

• Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business
• Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
• Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
• Conducting cost analysis and setting benchmarks for improvement
• Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
• Foster long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers who provide the best offers during supply chain procurement
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Recommend and implement modifications to programs, policies and procedures.
• Coordinates routinely with other departments to assure effective and timely coordination and teamwork in procuring goods and services. Provides procurement research, guidance and direction by presenting available procurement options
• Provides high-level technical/administrative guidance on work requirements and methods.
• Assume responsibility of localization of suppliers.
• Preparing procurement reports.

Required skills and qualifications 8 years of experience working as a procurement manager or in the supply chain field Prior experience in international procurement Attention to detail along with outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
