Position Overview:

The purpose of the Project Procurement Manager role is to handle all procurement-required planning, execution, control, and closeout activities for assigned projects. Responsible for leading and handling one or more sophisticated projects to deliver the agreed scope within planned quality, time, and cost parameters to satisfy the specified project requirements. Supporting the overall business case, targeted margins, and cash flow objectives. You will work towards your goals by demonstrating a clear understanding of the project business structure, good and proactive interpersonal skills, an ambitious attitude, and the ability to multitask and coordinate with various functions. What your day-to-day will look like: Getting involved early within the project at the proposal stage and driving material cost optimization. Development and analysis of Costed Bills of Material, using historical data, parametric analysis, and current market trends. Establishing material budgets and supervising costs through the project execution phase. Clearly define the supply chain. Crafting and maintaining project procurement plans, assuring outstanding supply chain execution throughout the entire project, and detailing and communicating the supply chain strategy to cross-functional project teams. Understanding the scope of supply and customer contract agreements, performing risk analysis, identifying supply chain risks, and supervising the supply chain during project execution to avoid potential issues/risks. Simulate and analyze different index and critical issue scenarios based on historical information, available market intelligence data, and actual Purchasing data. Coordinating with various commodity managers for supplier negotiations to ensure the optimization of project spend. Coordinate Supplier meetings for Design-to-Cost workshops. Work with Suppliers, Engineering, and Supply Chain on cost-cutting measures. Implementing professional sourcing processes coordinating procurement activities to ensure the supply base meets the project’s cost, delivery, and quality requirements and proactively driving procurement strategies in the project process. Ensure effective and open communications throughout the project team and partners. Present overall Supply Chain status to Upper Management within the global organization. To thrive in this role, you have: Bachelor’s degree- focus on supply chain or engineering field desirable 5+ years of project experience 3-5 years’ experience reporting costs versus budgets in a project environment Proficient in cost tracking and risk evaluation Proven broad supply chain knowledge Skilled in digital tools, including MS Office, specifically Excel Demonstrated solid communication and listening skills
