Job Description
Purchasing Manager Confidential Baton Rouge, LA 70809 Fast Paced Company seeks highly self motivated individual with excellent people skills and 3+ years Inventory Control, Buying or Purchasing experience. Four year college degree or 5-8 years equivalent experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, as well as oral and written communication skills. Great Plains, Heavy Purchasing-Inventory Control A+. Industrial background knowledge A+. Salary DOE. Heavy support for inside/outside sales department and existing customers. Processes purchase orders, researches products, searches for alternate suppliers, clarifies specifications, documents competitive bidding, follows up back orders, expedites delivery of products, and reviews market prices. Maintains updated and accurate vendor pricing system. Maintains accurate item master file, manages cost updates, provides cost updates and estimates to sales and senior management. In addition to this position is responsible for the management of warehouse. Duties include scheduling local deliveries and processing counter sales.
