What You’ll Accomplish:

We are currently seeking a Packaging Procurement Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director – External Supply Chain, this position will support Wellness Pet’s packaging spend, drive supply chain efforts in projects related to new packaging development, evaluation of new vendors, and packaging technology while ensuring cost optimization across all formats for our internal manufacturing sites and our co-manufacturers: Conduct market research related to packaging materials, track pricing trends, and define end-to-end cost analyses to ensure a competitive packaging portfolio. Analyze upstream feedstocks/commodities; create cost models to understand impact on pricing of finished packaging materials. Develop and publish key

PPV/ IPV

& performance indicator reporting (KPI) for the packaging category. Responsibilities including managing pricing updates & owning data within management systems. Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for the Packaging Category, aligned with regional and global business goals. Conduct periodic risk assessment and design/manage adequate countermeasures for packaging spend Identify and qualify new supply sources to reduce costs, simplify our supply chain and improve the overall quality of our vendor base. Support the design, management, and execution of sourcing processes, including negotiations, contracts, and supplier management Coordinate vendor qualification and management processes with our Quality, Manufacturing and R D teams. Support annual budget setting process for packaging. Lead supplier negotiations and coordinating contract execution. Identify and drive value optimization initiatives for cost / manufacturing efficiencies. Drive Wellness Pet’s agenda towards developing a sustainable packaging portfolio. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including meeting facilitation, documentation, creating and managing timelines, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (manufacturing facilities, materials planning, quality, packaging engineering, etc.) to understand needs and drive successful project outcomes Develop a culture of innovation and excellence within the procurement team, staying current with the latest technologies and trends Anticipate key supplier problems, resolve issues, and develop business continuity plans for supply Who We’re Looking For Team Wellie is a group of people who are truly obsessed with all the best ways about winning for the consumer and the pets they love. Other qualifications include:

Bachelor’s Degree in packaging, engineering, business administration, or economics. MBA in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering is preferred Up to 6 years of experience in purchasing, planning and/or quality assurance function with significant experience in purchasing, product development, and quality management. Strong knowledge of good procurement practices, supply chain management, and contract law as it applies to procurement 3+ years in strategic sourcing in a CPG, food, or pet food environment Strong skills in financial analysis In-depth knowledge of negotiation techniques Possesses the ability to analyze and present data to multiple levels of the organization.
