Job Description What You Will Do:

Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of supply chain functions within the Norwood, MA facility. Lead Strategic Sourcing for the Instron Static Division and represent the Division as part of ITW Test& Measurement and Electronics Sourcing Leadership Team. Ensure supply chain strategy, practices, and initiatives are aligned with the company’s business unit objectives and support the company’s growth and profitability strategy. Build a supply chain organizational culture that has a high sense of urgency, commitment to value-added services, and a sense of accountability. Plan and manage inventory to targets. Lead the transition from a transactional purchasing department to a strategic sourcing organization. Identify and execute sourcing initiatives that leverage purchasing scale, manage supply chain risk, and enhance profitability and global competitiveness. Manage and negotiate supplier qualification and selection to ensure supplier quality, continuity, delivery, technology, and commercial requirements. Develop and implement plans that harness economies of scale, drive economic value, and enable business growth by leveraging Instron and ITW globally. Lead complex and critical negotiations utilizing extensive professional knowledge and experience of principles and techniques of negotiation. Assess the contractual performance of major suppliers, initiate supplier improvement programs, manage and negotiate variations within and outside scope of contracts, and enforce contract remedies. Coach, mentor, and develop talent. Builds a diverse, high performing supply chain/ sourcing organization. Travel to suppliers and other Instron and ITW locations, as necessary. Establish departmental goals, objectives, budgets, and operating procedures.

Qualifications What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Technical, or Engineering. Advanced technical and/ or business-related degree (MBA) preferred. A minimum of 5 years of in-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, supply chain operations, and capital equipment manufacturing in a global environment. Minimum of 3-years management experience required. Strong record of driving operational improvements to support the business strategy. Proven record in implementing lean manufacturing practices. Deep experience in effective negotiations, procurement, MRP, and Lean manufacturing techniques, and presentations. Awareness of contract law. Experience with Kanban, vendor managed inventory, and pull systems, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems and strong data analytics skills. Working Conditions:

On-site 5 days a week. Must have a desire to travel, both domestically and internationally, as required. Expect 10% travel. Compensation Information:

This position has a starting salary range of $127,140 to $211,900 per year.
