Position Summary
Manage the assortment of poultry and seafood both fresh and further processed across the opco’s serviced. Foster vendor relationships, support our strategies of increasing opco profitability, leverage our exclusive brand assortment, increase EB , ongoing SKU rationalization while bringing assortment continuity to key stakeholders across merchandising, marketing, sales, and operations.

Position Responsibilities:

Highlight weekly and monthly reporting on performance of category responsibilities and functions related to assigned product categories to achieve maximum profits and customer satisfaction.
Weekly reviews utilizing data to gauge EB penetration, profitability, and appropriate velocity by SKU reporting out suggested changes or strategies to support growth and penetration
Keep the enterprise up to date with category trends ensuring that the assortment is balanced with appropriate products that bring both innovation as well as a core product mix that offers a diverse mix amodating all customer types in the Opco foot.
Support sales both national and local customer on-boarding for accounts or bids that need assortment guidance and customer specific item requests.
Approve new item requests from the field to include tracking and reporting of slow and dead
Interfaces with customers, vendors, management, warehouse personnel, accounting, sales, marketing, customer service, transportation, information technology services, Opco Presidents, VP’s of Sales & Operations
Functions as a team member within the procurement department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve thepany.
Benefits
Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 4-6 years Foodservice distribution and purchasing management experience
  Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors:

Business management, marketing or related area.

• 6-10 years Foodservice distribution to include category management, category assortment revitalization to includepetitive analysis, and go to market strategy ideation and deployment.
