Full Job Description Overview:
The Sourcing Associate (SA) is responsible for working with the Sourcing Manager (SM) and other Novant Health business owners to facilitate and execute the organization’s sourcing strategies. The SA will have full responsibility for certain categories/vendors within the shared portfolio, and will support the SM with other categories/vendors. Regardless of the category, the SA will have a role in all phases of the sourcing process, including but not limited to, data collection and analysis, go-to-market activities, contract drafting and redlines, negotiations and operational implementation/maintenance of vendor relationships. Qualifications:
Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
Experience:
2-5 Years of experience in the areas of supply chain, contracting and/or sourcing. (Preferred) Additional Skills (required): Effective decision maker with the ability to exercise independent judgement in a wide range of scenarios. Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work. Ability to effectively work within cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Demonstrates high level of aptitude in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Must possess a working knowledge of contract terminology and basic contracting processes. Acute attention to detail & accuracy. Ability to manage challenging relationships (internal & external), multiple/changing priorities and drive results using available resources. Responds to requests and resolves in a timely manner. Commitment to quality. Ability to work under pressure in achieving tight deadlines. Additional Skills (preferred): Strategic sourcing or contract management experience in a healthcare setting. Data analytics. The ability to clearly present data and ideas in both verbal and non-verbal fashions, and is able to write clear summaries of work, which identify key issues and offer solutions. Demonstrate strong ability to work within a team environment. Lead and facilitate productive discussions with other team members, stakeholders and vendors to achieve a consensus in a professional manner. Recognize and explain the need for compromise.
