AND INVENTORY MANAGER SUMMARY
The Purchasing and Inventory Manager oversees the purchase and tracking of all parts, including throughout the manufacturing process. Significant responsibilities in the areas of purchasing & receiving, inventory management, accurate and timely manufacturing orders, and supporting theProduction Manager in meeting deadlines.

FUNCTIONAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBLITY

Purchasing & Receiving:
▪ Seek the best value in purchasing. ▪ Create purchase orders, receive and check for order accuracy, shelve or add to active Work Order. ▪ Optimize the use of Fishbowl Inventory Management Software.
Eg:
update to maintain accurate data (vendors, part numbers, etc), use tools to maintain appropriate quantities, and problem solve as needed. ▪ Collaborate with accounting. ▪ Return parts as needed and in a timely manner. ▪ Order shop supplies to meet needs. ➢
Inventory Management:
▪ Using the Reorder Report, maintain optimal Parts counts to meet production demand. ▪ Maintain organization of products and supplies to enable quick location of items ▪ Ensure appropriate parts are assigned in Fishbowl’s Bill of Materials templates. ▪ Conduct and record quarterly cycle counts of full physical inventory and monthly partial cycle counts in Fort Lauderdale. ▪ Minimize cycling of inventory. Ensure parts room integrity (no untracked self-picks). ➢
Manufacturing Order Process:
▪ Pull Parts for each work order into build-groups and hand-off to techs. ▪ Order ‘Specialty Parts’ not typically stocked to ensure timely arrival. ▪ Utilize and improve upon parts tracking system so all consumed Parts are on each Work Order. ➢
Parts Order Fulfillment:
▪ Fulfill online orders (brigparts.com). ▪ Fulfill Dealer orders as requested by Brig Operations Administrator (via DealersCircle). ▪ Maintain a systematic shipping area with required packing and shipping materials including all tools needed for various shipping vendors. ▪ Respond to questions from Brig Operations Admin on Dealer parts inquiries. ➢ OTHER ▪ Assist Controller in reconciling parts credit card ▪ Respond to Controller’s questions about hull/boat month-end cycle counts. ▪ Assist Dealership Manager/Sales Support in fine-tuning repair/warranty process and pricing specialized parts. ▪ Other duties as assigned.

Qualities & Skills:
Efficient, accurate, planned, organized, skilled in using databases/technology to drive workflow, and able to follow and improve processes. Must have managed or provided purchasing in a manufacturing environment, with preference for marine. Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
