Job Responsibilities:
- Invest the necessary amount of time to get to know your team and build trusting relationships with each of them (4 Buyers)
- Work collaboratively with each member of the team to solve problems and improve processes
- Avoid sacrificing long term values for short term results
- Direct & coordinate the activity of personnel engaged in the development of specifications, preparation of bids or awards, negotiation of contracts, & processing requisitions or & POs
- Direct procurement of steel, plastic resin, corrugation, springs, powder coating resins, screws & fasteners
- Manage asset investments of machinery and building expansions, as well as manage indirect (MRO) procurement
- You will be expected to lead or function effectively within assigned project work groups including those addressing company purchasing objectives
- You will be responsible for purchasing agreements, contract reviews & risk management related to work with vendors and contractors
- Oversee, troubleshoot and reconciles the company’s direct and indirect procurement processes while supporting the maintenance of accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records
Education - Realistically, having an undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing management position within an industrial manufacturing environment will help you take on new and challenging assignments. 4-year Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred
- 2-year degree or higher in a related field is required

- Experience working in an international company General purchasing principles including purchasing agreements, contracts, incoterms, insurance, laws, government regulations, agency rules, vendor consolidation, freight charges & tax issues
- Business & organizational planning, coordination & resource allocation
- HR related policies & practices
- Various ways performance can be improved & how to apply them
- Raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs & other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture or distribution of goods
- Standard applications of business math to Purchasing
