What youll do on a typical day: Lead category and commercial strategies; ensure strategyalignment with GXOs long-term plans Develop and execute analysis supporting strategic and tacticalcategory plans Lead the development of thorough master services contracts inaccordance with regulatory and legal requirements Develop RFQs and analyses for supplier selection; lead suppliernegotiations for the enterprise on requirements, commercial termsand conditions Build performance-based supplier relationships that lead tooptimal pricing, quality improvements, process improvements andsolutions delivery Identify and resolve weaknesses in development plan in primaryand secondary suppliers; conduct strategic supplier quarterlyperformance reviews using supplier scorecards to develop continuousimprovement initiatives and actions Utilize lean concepts to drive process improvement and costreductions without compromising business strategies and/orquality Present category strategy to sr. management and lead theimplementation for far-reaching initiatives Develop reporting metrics and alignment with functional areasto ensure the cost savings and cost mitigation related to sourcingand supplier management activitiesWhat you need to succeed at
GXO:
At a minimum, youll need: 7 years of progressive experience in procurement and categorymanagement including negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts Experience in reviewing contract language and redliningSOWs Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to create complexformulas in Excel Availability to work a flexible schedule including planned andunplanned overtime, which may include weekends; ability to travel10% domestically Itd be great if you also have: Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field, orequivalent related work or military experience Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy,optimize resources and develop, recommend and implementsolutions Experience in managing stakeholders across a large number ofsites (50+ locations) Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionableresearch with detailed explanations regarding drivers of thoseresults; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurateinterpretations Solid aptitude for understanding and researching large amountsof data from multiple sources; perform complex research of data,processes, policies, procedures and/or systems Ability to utilize a variety of interpersonal styles andcommunication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures,processes or culturesWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supplychains. #appcastrequest#
