Position Purpose:
In this Solutions Procurement Manager role, you will focus on strategically identifying, evaluating, and engaging suppliers to acquire goods and services that meet the solutions groups operational and financial objectives. The role also includes supply chain management of supplier product related to solutions projects and driving value through costs savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation. Job Objectives Major Responsibilities/KPIs Deliverables Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management Develop and implement procurement strategies for engineering projects Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and subcontractors, focusing on reliability, quality, costs, and compliance Contract Negotiation Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts to secure the best value while managing risk Ensure procurement complies with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards while minimizing risks related to delivery, cost, and quality Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to align procurement activities with technical and scheduling needs Cost and Budget Control Work closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to align Monitor and manage procurement budgets, aiming to reduce costs without compromising on quality or performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & Strategy o Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with engineering project timelines and budgetary goals. o Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to forecast material and equipment needs. Supplier Sourcing & Management o Identify, qualify, and evaluate vendors and subcontractors globally or locally. o Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage performance through KPIs and regular reviews. Contract Negotiation & Management o Lead negotiation of terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. o Draft, review, and manage supply agreements and contracts o Ensure legal and regulatory compliance throughout the procurement lifecycle. Cost Control & Budget Management o Monitor procurement expenditures against budget. o Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines. Technical Evaluation o Work with engineering teams to review and understand technical specifications and drawings. o Ensure procured items meet all technical requirements and industry standards. Procurement Operations o Oversee the issuance of RFQs, RFPs, POs, and change orders. o Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project deadlines. o Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams for delivery and storage. Risk Management o Identify procurement and supply chain risks (e.g. vendor insolvency, geopolitical risks, logistics disruptions). o Implement mitigation strategies and maintain contingency plans. System & Process Management o Utilize ERP or procurement software to manage procurement activities. o Streamline and improve procurement processes for efficiency and compliance. Reporting & Documentation o Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management (e.g., cost savings, supplier performance, procurement status). o Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications. Team Leadership & Development (if applicable) o Manage procurement staff, assign responsibilities, and provide training. o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high ethical standards.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field o
Preferred:
Master’s degree (Supply Chain, Engineering Management, or Procurement) Professional Certifications (Optional) o
ISM/ CPSM
– Certified Professional in Supply Management (USA) o
APICS / CSCP
– Certified Supply Chain Professional o PMP, Lean Six Sigma Professional Experience o 5-10+ years of procurement experience, ideally in: ? Engineering, construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors ? Complex or large-scale capital projects ? International sourcing and supply chain environments o Proven track record in: ? Negotiating contracts ? Managing procurement teams or cross-functional collaboration ? Working with engineering and project management disciplines Technical & Functional Skills o Strong knowledge of: ? Procurement and supply chain processes ?
