Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Director of Capital Procurement and Contracts is crucial to supporting our mission by overseeing the acquisition of key capital assets and enterprise contracts that enhance our ability to provide innovative medications and expand access to affordable healthcare. Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops and executes strategic procurement and contract management plans for capital projects in the 503A and 503B compounding pharmaceutical space, ensuring the acquisition of critical equipment, technologies, and services in compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing costs and efficiency. Leads the execution and maintenance of contract activities, coordinating all contract documentation, legal interaction, and LawVu requests, and facilitating contract negotiations to effectively support enterprise projects. Proactively ensures all supply chain, financial, and legal requirements are met before contracts are initiated or executed, verifying compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, while collaborating with project managers to prepare Request for Proposal packages, contract drafts, and legal requests. Works with department managers to review and analyze contracted work requirements (including contingent labor), providing guidance and recommendations to address gaps and resolve issues, while maintaining relationships with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to industry standards. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including legal, supply chain, operations, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and finance, to align capital projects and contracts with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational goals, while maintaining and optimizing strategies for vendor performance management and operational metrics. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, streamline administrative processes, drive efficiencies across departments, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while ensuring vendor compliance and contract negotiation success. Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook), and accounting tools like QuickBooks, with expertise in engineering principles, facility design, construction management, regulatory compliance, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, while leveraging artificial intelligence to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making across workflows.

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, capital project management, engineering, contract management, or related fields, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a proven history of successfully supporting large-scale capital projects from conception to completion. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree preferred. Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC), and FDA Regulatory Affairs Certification.
