job summary: Our enterprise client in Central New Jersey has an immediate opening for an experienced Procurement Sourcing Manager (Consultant) for a temporary engagement to support strategic sourcing initiatives with a strong focus on contract review and negotiation, vendor management, and the development of procurement policies and procedures. This role is ideal for an experienced procurement professional with a background in financial services or other complex environments, particularly with expertise in IT and professional services sourcing. The consultant will help advance key procurement priorities, including negotiating strategic agreements, improving supplier governance, and documenting scalable sourcing processes.

Edison, New Jersey job type: Contract salary: $42 – 70 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead contract review and negotiations for sourcing agreements including Master Agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), Amendments, and Change Orders. Ensure agreements are commercially sound, protect the firm’s interests, and reflect business objectives, legal risk tolerance, and pricing goals.

Serve as a primary point of contact for sourcing-related contract negotiations, partnering closely with Legal and business stakeholders to streamline review cycles and finalize agreements efficiently.

Collaborate with Procurement leadership to develop and formalize procurement policies, procedures, templates, and approval workflows that support scalable sourcing and contracting operations.

Support the advancement of the firm’s Vendor Management Program, including supplier scorecards, relationship governance models, and performance monitoring processes.

Manage and execute sourcing initiatives including RFP development, market analysis, supplier research, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.

Conduct contract, spend, and supplier analytics to inform negotiation strategy and identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.

Build strong internal relationships to ensure procurement delivers solutions aligned with Bessemer’s strategic goals.

Assist in the creation of sourcing dashboards, savings trackers, and approved supplier lists for reporting and governance purposes.

Identify areas of contractual and procurement process risk and propose improvements to ensure compliance and consistency.

qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.5-10 years of strategic sourcing and contract management experience in financial services or a similarly regulated, professional environment.

Extensive experience negotiating and reviewing complex supplier contracts, especially within IT and professional services categories.

Strong knowledge of contract structures, key terms and conditions, and risk mitigation practices.

Demonstrated ability to write, revise, and implement procurement policy and procedure documentation.

Effective project management and stakeholder communication skills.

Advanced analytical capabilities and proficiency in procurement tools and dashboards.

Client would prefer insurance or financial or larger enterprise experience. Possible remote for senior level resource but in office 3 days is preferred.
