The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that inventory levels meet operational needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management. Responsibilities Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory control and procurement processes. Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing to ensure the best value for the organization. Oversee inventory management practices, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels. Utilize SAP and MRP systems to streamline purchasing activities and maintain efficient logistics operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align purchasing activities with production schedules. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved service delivery. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles, with a focus on inventory management and vendor management. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, logistics, and contract negotiation. Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
