Job Description
The Executive Director of Global Procurement Practice will lead the development and execution of best-in-class procurement policies, risk management strategies, and global processes. This role will also be accountable for procurement capability building, talent development, and the management and delivery of our early talent development program. This role reports to the Leader of the Global Procurement Center of Excellence and will work closely with other leaders within the Center of Excellence, across Global Procurement, and with other leaders across Regeneron in associate disciplines, including law, finance, and compliance. This role will require 4 days per week onsite at our Corporate HQ Campus in either Sleepy Hollow, NY USA or Dublin IRE. This is not available as a fully remote / hybrid work. As the ED of Global Procurement Practice, a typical day may include: Develop and maintain global procurement policies, procedures, and standards that support compliance, efficiency, required approvals/authorizations, and value delivery across the enterprise. Lead the procurement risk and compliance agenda within the procurement function, ensuring alignment with internal controls, regulatory frameworks and audit readiness. Drive consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement of end-to-end procurement processes globally. Oversee the design and execution of talent strategies including career pathways, learning frameworks, and functional competencies. Lead the global early talent development program, attracting, developing, and retaining top procurement talent. Collaborate with category and international markets teams to embed global processes and policies while addressing local market needs. Represent procurement in cross-functional leadership forums, internal audits, and external engagements related to compliance and governance. Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and provides leadership examples for the organization Coaches proficiency on procurement technical skills among global procurement team This role may be for you if you have: A proven track record in policy development, risk management, and procurement process optimization, preferably within pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries. Capability to build influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results for Regeneron. Demonstrated success leading/supporting cross-functional teams to drive change programs and efficiency A high value of operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement. Experience leading associate level professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports Experience in talent development, including functional capability frameworks and leadership pipeline initiatives. Familiarity with procurement technologies (including risk/compliance monitoring platforms). To be considered for this role you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study with 15+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain, with a strong background in governance, compliance, or operations leadership.
