Hiring Manager Note :

I need someone with strong knowledge of developing and managing services contracts/agreements.

IE:

Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. The role does have some equipment purchases but the overwhelming majority is around CapEx Services agreements .

Position Summary:

Support the day-to-day execution of strategies for assigned categories, with a focus on reducing organizational spend, improving savings, and enhancing relationships with business stakeholders and suppliers. The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager will strategically manage the global services category for Engineering, Construction, Installation, Electrical, HVAC, and other assigned categories across 200+ manufacturing, warehouse, and office locations. This role involves negotiating agreements that optimize total value with established purchasing policies. Responsibilities include overseeing projects and supplier relationships, developing strategies, conducting RFPs, leading supplier selection, defining implementation plans, ensuring compliance, and monitoring sustainability targets. Category strategies include partner communication, spend analytics/mapping, external market analysis, strategic sourcing strategy development and execution (reverse auctions, RFX, focused negotiations), contract/service level agreements, and vendor management. This position carries delegated purchasing authority up to a defined threshold and requires compliance with all corporate purchasing procedures. The role reports to the Global Senior Sourcing Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

Tactical Sourcing Provide strategic direction and ensure purchasing requirements are met through coordination with internal stakeholders and other departments. Design and execute sourcing events for assigned categories. Utilize available e-sourcing and optimization tools effectively. Develop award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership. Respond to supplier and stakeholder inquiries regarding category, supply, pricing, and specifications. Support supplier financing programs, considering early payment and accounts payable programs. Prepare planning guides to support negotiations. Develop current and potential Supplier Profile Summaries. Collaborate with the Sustainability team on relevant projects and monitor sustainability targets. Review business requisitions for contract compliance and approve/reject as appropriate. Assist stakeholders in creating sourcing plans aligned with business goals. Sourcing Analysis Conduct market research and analytics on equipment, feedstocks, and services. Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports. Develop inflation/deflation forecasts using price indices. Conduct opportunity assessments, benchmarking, and should-cost modeling. Prepare category improvement projections and post-implementation variance analysis. Identify internal costs tied to supplier pricing, delivery, operations, and quality. Generate supplier spend reports and analyze total ownership cost. Contract Management Work with the contract management team on contract data, addendums, item master sheets, and supplier documentation. Supplier Relationship Management Support the development of supplier performance/continuous improvement targets and scorecards. Assist in the administration of supplier assessments and performance analytics. Benefit Tracking Partner with the KPI & Benefits team to implement tracking mechanisms and report supplier compliance. Create and maintain supplier item catalogs within internal ERP systems. Act as a liaison to inform stakeholders and suppliers about pricing and performance expectations. Additional Support Coordinate annual/bi-annual business reviews with key suppliers. Support additional initiatives or projects that may impact organizational performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor//’s or Associate//’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, CPG, or a related field. 2+ years of professional experience in procurement. Demonstrated leadership capability. Strong risk assessment and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver results quickly. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Think Cell, Power BI). Ability to communicate complex analysis through presentations and written reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPM/CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent certification. Experience with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools. 5+ years in a manufacturing environment. 4+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Retail.
