Join our dynamic team at Abnormal Security, we are seeking astrategic and experienced Director of Accounts Payable andProcurement to lead the rollout of new procurement policies asmanage accounts payable functions. Reporting to the VP, Controller,you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient financialoperations and contributing to our strategic objectives. What youwill do
Leadership:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performingaccounts payable and procurement team, fostering a culture ofcollaboration and continuous improvement.
Accounts PayableManagement:
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process,including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendormanagement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
ProcurementStrategy:
Develop, implement and monitor a comprehensiveprocurement strategy to optimize vendor relationships, negotiatecontracts, and achieve cost savings while maintaining qualitystandards.
Policy Development:
Establish and lead the rollout ofnew policies and procedures related to accounts payable,procurement, and expense management. Ensuring all stakeholders areinformed and trained in compliance with internal controls andregulatory requirements.
Process Optimization:
Identifyopportunities to streamline accounts payable and procurementprocesses through automation, system enhancements, and bestpractices.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct analysis of procurementspend, vendor performance, and cost trends to supportdecision-making and improve financial efficiency.
VendorRelationships:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with keyvendors and suppliers in negotiating terms, renewals, and resolvingissues to support business operations effectively. Influence vendorrelationships by creating processes to enable timely closures andnegotiations.
Cross Functional Partnerships:
Collaborate withcross functional leaders such as IT, Legal, Security and FP&Aon procurement planning, and provide comprehensive support oncurrent and future initiatives requiring procurement support. •
Compliance and Risk Management:
Provide regular reports to seniormanagement that ensure compliance with financial policies,procedures, and regulations related to accounts payable,procurement activities, savings achieved and managing riskeffectively.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, BusinessAdministration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA orrelevant certifications (e.g., CPP, CPM) preferred.
- 10 years ofexperience in a procurement and vendor management role or relatedin a B2B SaaS/Technology/Start-up environment and 2-5 yearsmanaging people
- Proven success with software rationalizationincluding developing and implementing long term procurementstrategies
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstratedexperience with managing contracts and vendor performance with ahigh level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience with buildingprocurement workflows and establishing processes and best practicesprocurement infrastructure, with a focus on technology procurement
- Demonstrated experience with using sourcing strategy and bestpractices to bring forward vendors who provide us with the idealSaaS and technology solutions.
- Excellent negotiation andcollaboration skills to drive consensus and the best outcomes forAbnormal Security
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurementsoftware and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internalstakeholders and external vendors.
