Position Description Advertised Job Summary Purchasing Manager (Procurement Manager I),

Minimum Salary:

$54,165 per year, USCA Campus Support Services Directly reporting to the Executive Director of Campus Auxiliary & Support Services, the Purchasing Manager shall serve as the primary point person for all university procurement processes, insurance administration and will assist with departmental administrative support and campus scheduling through 25Live.

Knowledge of legislation, regulations, State and University policies and procedures governing the procurement of goods and services. Familiarization with SC Consolidated Procurement Code. Ability to analyze and evaluate factors in the awarding of contracts. Ability to communicate effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred:

Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC), CPPO or

CPPB. NIGP- CPP

is preferred.

Job Duties Job Duty Develop comprehensive ongoing training programs and opportunities for campus constituents as it relates to all areas of Campus Support Services. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 5 Job Duty Manage the campus state procurement electronic data system and perform cardholder and liaison training. Will assist in USCA P-card audits and serve as cardholder liaison for select departments. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty Perform all activities related to and including evaluating, maintaining and managing university insurance segments (Building & Personal Property, Inland Marine, Data Processing, Business Interruption and Professional Liability) as well as monitor compliance with annual insurance budget. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Serving as the primary departmental point of contact for procurements, the individual shall oversee the procurement processes for campus departments and makes recommendations to Director, when applicable.
