Residential Purchasing- Operations Role Clearview Homes LLC. Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 • Hybrid work Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization acquires high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. This role requires strong negotiation skills, effective vendor management, and a solid understanding of logistics and inventory control. Duties Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals. Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service and timely delivery of goods. Conduct contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing. Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels. Collaborate with the field superintendent(s) to understand and support their purchasing needs. Utilize Buildertrend systems for managing POs , orders, managing contracts, and monitoring production schedules. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities. Requirements Proven experience in Residential Construction Purchasing- Operations procurement. Lumber estimating or comprehensive bid analysis. Familiarity with contract management and negotiation techniques. Strong communication with vendors- subcontractors. Proficiency in vendor management to foster strong relationships. Knowledge of the use of the Builder trend software system is required. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams.
