Job Description Summary You will be responsible for supporting the Blades Commodity Manager in defining and executing the global strategy for the blade commodity. This will include commercial and operational deliverables to ensure blades are sourced to the best landed cost with best in class quality and on time delivery. Achieve favorable contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Work with the Blade Global Commodity Manager and Global Blade Fulfillment Leader to define and execute the global blade strategy. Commodity Leader will also need to understand and negotiate terms and conditions, such as payment terms and lead times, as well as managing claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. Role may also require participating in negotiations and allocations to blade or sub-tier suppliers. Maintain highest quality output by working with Quality team, auditing supplier, and engaging cross functional participation in Kaizens to prioritize safety, quality, delivery and cost. Project manage cost out programs including engineering changes, material changes, and additional sources. Engage with the Component Team to identify and drive cost out opportunities. Partner with blade suppliers, engineering team, materials team to identify cost out opportunities. Track cost and projects through existing systems. Work with global blade buyers to enter purchase orders as required by contract and internal requirements. Confirm correct pricing. Reconcile with forecasted costs. Update and maintain cost tracker for blades commodity for current year and futures years. Maintain cost walks including cost out programs, inflation/deflation, volume impact, etc. Work with supplier to drive innovative cost out and increased output and flexibility. Track, review and approve capital expenditures for blades. Assemble required paperwork to get approval for CAPEX spend approval. Negotiate terms of supply, determine delivery dates, and work with buyer to place purchase orders. Maintain supply base that adheres to quality and fulfillment requirements. Support balanced scorecard and supplier improvement processes as needed. Support all activities as required by the COE Commodity Manager, Fulfillment Leader, sourcing quality, Engineering, and other associated functions. You will be required to work cross functionally and have strong influencing and relationship skills. Manage blade assets, assisted by finance, including storage of, book value, scrap contracts, minimize and estimate storage costs and future optionality. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Commodity Management, or leading cross functional or engineering program teams. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work cross functionally to drive results. Sourcing and contract experience Quality or production experience The base pay range for this position is $125,000.00 – $208,300.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
