Category Manager Five Star Food Service – HQ Nashville, TN 37211 At Five Star Breaktime Solutions, we’re more than just a provider of workplace refreshment—we’re the Southeast’s leading partner in coffee, beverage, snack, and vending solutions. We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Category Beverage Manager to lead the development, optimization, and performance of our beverage portfolio. This role will focus on driving sales, improving profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction across all beverage categories—including coffee, bottled drinks, and cold beverages.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage product selection, pricing strategy, and promotional planning for all beverage categories Analyze market trends, sales data, and consumer behavior to guide purchasing and merchandising decisions Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to negotiate pricing and secure best-in-class products Develop planograms and product placements that optimize revenue and customer experience Lead beverage-related category reviews and present strategic recommendations to leadership Track performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize profitability and market share Partner closely with operations and sales to ensure execution aligns with category strategy
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in category management, preferably in the beverage, foodservice, or retail industries Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is a plus Experience in vendor negotiations and merchandising strategy Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills Passion for beverages and consumer trends in refreshment solutions
