POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager with a strong background in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or manufacturing industries to lead sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, a data-driven mindset, and a proven ability to build value-driven supplier relationships that support innovation, quality, and sustainability. This role will lead a team of 2 direct reports.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for direct and indirect materials across multiple categories including packaging, raw materials, and third-party manufacturing. Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and spend data to identify savings opportunities and negotiate favorable terms. Develop, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, compliance, and innovation. Partner with R D, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to align procurement strategies with business objectives and product development initiatives. Identify and proactively manage supply chain risks, including supplier continuity, geopolitical exposure, and compliance concerns. Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. Leverage procurement systems (e.g., NetSuite, Intuflow, etc.) to streamline purchasing, track performance, and enhance reporting. Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance and the procurement department to identify any issues or risks to senior management.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field; MBA a plus Minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain role Experience leading a team of direct reports Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
