Overview:
A growing manufacturing company in Memphis is seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations and inventory planning across two warehouse locations. This is a direct hire opportunity for a detail-oriented leader with strong supply chain and vendor management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage purchasing operations to maintain optimal inventory levels Set and enforce inventory policies in coordination with the Inventory Manager Evaluate production lead times and transit timelines for both warehouse locations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan for growth Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements Maintain effective communication between internal teams and contract manufacturers
Qualifications:
5+ years of purchasing management experience (multi-location preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills Experience managing purchasing in a manufacturing environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; NetSuite or Easy Stock is a plus Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
