Vice President of Procurement Confidential Franklin, TN 37067 About Us We are a rapidly growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) supporting 100+ dental practices throughout the country. Our mission is to empower partner doctors and their teams with world-class support, freeing them to focus on what matters most—exceptional patient care. The Opportunity We’re looking for a Vice President of Procurement to lead and scale our company-wide sourcing and supply chain strategy. This is a strategic, relationship-driven role that goes far beyond managing purchase orders. You will be the architect of our dental supply formulary, the voice of field operations in procurement conversations, a key contributor to new facility development projects, and a key liaison between vendor partners and the practices we serve. You’ll collaborate closely with our regional operations leaders, doctors and the leadership team, and will drive both cost savings and clinical consistency across our national footprint. The position will report into the CFO. Key Responsibilities Design and implement a company-wide procurement strategy across all dental practices, with an emphasis on cost efficiency, operational continuity, and supply standardization. Create and manage a dental supply formulary that aligns with clinical protocols and doctor preferences across both orthodontic and pediatric dentistry specialties. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners, negotiate pricing, service agreements, and supply chain logistics to ensure high-quality, cost-effective products. Partner with doctors and practice managers to gather feedback, align on clinical preferences, and ensure successful adoption of supply programs. Track purchasing trends, analyze performance data, and present actionable insights to leadership that drive smarter purchasing decisions and reduce operational waste. Lead procurement integration during practice acquisitions, and new facility development projects, ensuring smooth transitions for new doctors into our supply programs. Implement procurement best practices for all service agreements and contracts across the company. Stay ahead of industry trends, product innovations, and regulatory changes that impact procurement strategy or clinical delivery. What We’re Looking For 7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing operations; experience in dental, healthcare, or multi-site organizations is highly preferred. Proven experience building and managing vendor relationships at a national level, including contract negotiation and performance management. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to partner with clinicians and operations teams in a respectful, service-oriented way. Data-savvy, with experience using purchasing data and metrics to drive continuous improvement. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build programs and systems from scratch.
