As PMC’s Activities Coordinator, your focus will be on the 3Cs; Care, Community and Compliance.
Care:
Organize patient activities and patient contact to reinforce cognitive stimulation, encourage socialization and promote self-initiative, develop and implement therapeutic activities for small and large groups based on participants’ level of functioning.
Community:
Plan community education events; including thematic decoration and special events, cultivate a team culture of kindness and accountability, promoting a positive, calm, joyful environment throughout the units, and fill in for program staff as needed.
Compliance:
Develop and implement therapeutic activities for small and large groups based on participants’ level of functioning, create weekly schedules that meet CMS guidelines and provide therapeutic benefits for the patients, Exercise accountability for patients and staff safety.
Requirements
Complete certification course for Certified Activities Coordinator or equivalent required
One-year experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting, mental health setting, or setting for the care of the disabled required
CTRS preferred
Current CPR required
CPI training provided
Basic computer knowledge required
Strong interpersonal skills required
