Job Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of consulting servicesin areas of key organizational importance. Provides leadership forthe delivery of high quality and cost-effective consultingservices/products that are issues of key organizational importance.

Partners with Medical Center leadership teams and departments tosupport effectiveness of local programs in order for leadership tomeet key organizational initiatives. Supports leadership inattaining organizational goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and expert consultation on the design,development, and implementation of programs related to theexpertise area. Serves as the content expert of the responsibletechnical area(s) and provides technical assistance and advice.
• Leads a group of consultants, analysts and/or staff focused on thedelivery of service/products within the responsible technicalarea(s). Provides leadership and direction for the technicalarea(s) in accordance with the overall strategic direction of thegroup.
• Develops standards, procedures, and policies to ensurethat the responsible unit is maintained according to the acceptablelevel of quality from clients.
• Ensures that reports andinformation disseminated from the area(s) are accurate, timely andconsistent, and that they satisfy the clients needs.
• KaiserPermanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routinebasis.

Secondary Functions:

• This position is part of the Patient CareServices Clinical Nurse Specialist Fellowship Program.

KP willprovide the incumbent 100% tuition coverage at CSU Dominguez Hills.

Incumbent will be given 16 hours a pay period to focus on theirstudies while school is in session. Incumbent will be placed with aKP CNS preceptor at a different facility from their home medicalcenter for their 500 clinical hours. Incumbent will be moved into aClinical Nurse Specialist position upon completion of their MSN CNSdegree program. Incumbent must maintain good standing passing allrequired courses and progress through the CNS program withoutacademic leaves of absence at CSU Dominguez Hills to maintainemployment as a CPC/Fellow. Travel to CSU Dominguez Hills and toother KP Facilities during the program will be required. Fellowwill be responsible for any fees related to their education outsideof tuition; this includes travel to CSUDH at least twice duringtheir program. Basic Qualifications:

Experience

• Minimum six(6) years of experience in a management or clinical leadership rolerequired. Education
• Bachelors degree required. License,Certification, Registration

• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in healthcare operations and care delivery.

• Demonstrated ability toconduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative information withanalytical problem solving and project management.

• Mustdemonstrate an understanding of the operations of KP, health policytrends, and any applicable regulations related to the responsibletechnical area.
• Current California license or certification in aprofessional clinical field as required by job including but notlimited to nursing, pharmacy, psychology, respiratory care,infection control or MD.
• Must be able to work in aLabor/Management Partnership environment. Preferred Qualifications
• Masters degree preferred.
