Job Description

Job Description BAE Systems’ Sustainment & International Product Line is hiring a Director, Programs – International to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The Program Director will be responsible for developing and delivering moderate to complex campaigns and programs for ground combat vehicles with initial emphasis on M88s and AMPVs in-country industrialization and support.

The position is available as US-based remote with periodic to frequent travel (25%-50%) to company and customer locations, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:

Provides program leadership in execution from program capture through deliveryThinks long term while also managing program launches and execution, anticipates and resolves problemsManages program(s) to achieve cost, profitability, schedule, technical performance, and quality objectives with a high level of customer satisfactionLeads strategies for proposal preparation, negotiations, and pricing decisionsOrchestrates internal group and external group stakeholder collaboration to meet all program obligations and objectivesEstablishes program direction for the functional IPT leads delivering the scope (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Field Service, Industrialization/Offset, and/or others)Effectively presents Campaign, Capture, and Program status and proposals to Customers and Senior ManagementProactively plans, monitors, and controls scope and activities including disciplined, effective change managementActively and effectively manages opportunities and risksMakes timely decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and proceduresContinuously improves program performance including capturing, evaluating, sharing, and implementing best practicesMeets financial commitments for Orders, Sales, Profit, and Cash FlowComplies with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to ethics, export control, proprietary information, document/record retention, public communication, etc.

Promotes a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety and environmental objectives and policiesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Ability to travel 50%, both domestically and internationallyBachelor’s Degree and 12 years of work experience or equivalent experienceExperience in Program/Project ManagementExperience in Programs, Contracts, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Sustainment and Field Service to understand business complexitiesExperience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), and/or industrialization processes and business arrangementsFirm understanding of business case development, schedule development and analysis, program cost management and forecasting, and opportunity and risk managementStrong leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills for coordinating, planning, aligning, and managing multiple stakeholders, both internal and externalDemonstrated ability to effectively work cross-culturally and cross-functionallyAbility to operate within broad guidance to generate strategies, convert into actionable plans, and lead teams through executing the plansAbility to take a deliberate approach to decision-making in a dynamic operating environmentProven ability to rapidly determine root cause and implement solutions to addressSolid oral and written communication skills to communicate with internal and external leaders at multiple levels to include executive leadership in the US Government, foreign countries, and the companyPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) CertificationDefense Acquisition Program trainingKnowledge of BAE Systems productsExpertise in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), and/or industrialization processes and business arrangementsExperience in Lifecycle Management (LCM) practices and an understanding of all steps involved in a product lifecycleAbility to implement change management and continuous learning initiativesEntrepreneurial mindset with a growth focus and repeatable process orientation

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:

$169630 – $288370Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
