Paid time off Free food & snacks Training & development The Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the academic planning, coordination, and implementation of education programs at Inspire Education Academy. This includes managing the day-to-day academic operations, supporting instructional staff, ensuring student progress, and helping to implement high-quality learning experiences in adult education, career readiness, and high school completion. As a key team member, the Academic Coordinator ensures curriculum alignment, provides instructional support, and collaborates with the Programs Coordinator, Social Work Team, and Part-Time Instructors to foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement and program success. Program & Instructional Oversight Coordinate instructional schedules, staffing, and class coverage. Monitor curriculum implementation across Alabama Career Essentials (ACE), ACT WorkKeys, Financial Literacy, and High School Diploma tracks (Penn Foster). Provide academic coaching and professional development to instructional staff. Ensure instructional materials and assessments align with program standards and learner needs. Student Progress & Support Oversee academic assessments and ensure appropriate placement and pacing. Monitor student performance, completion rates, and goal progression; intervene as necessary. Collaborate with the team to create Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) for each student. Lead student orientation sessions and academic progress meetings. Data Management & Compliance Maintain accurate academic records, reports, and documentation for internal tracking and grant reporting. Analyze academic data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for program improvement. Support the development of reports related to academic progress and program outcomes. Program Coordination & Communication Serve as the liaison between instructors, students, program staff, and external partners regarding academic matters. Coordinate academic-related logistics such as testing schedules, classroom needs, and resource distribution. Support student referrals to career pathways, High School Diploma prep, trades, or employment services in collaboration with CCDN partners. Quality Assurance & Evaluation Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to instructors. Implement academic quality improvement strategies based on evaluation and feedback. Stay current with best practices in adult education, trauma-informed learning, and workforce development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Adult Learning, Workforce Development, Social Services, or a related field required. Minimum 3 years of experience in adult education, academic coordination, or program management. Familiarity with Penn Foster, ACT WorkKeys, ACE, and career readiness programs preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills. Proven ability to motivate adult learners and support nontraditional student success. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams. Experience with data tracking, academic reporting, and digital learning platforms. Knowledge of adult learning theories, trauma-informed practices, and culturally responsive teaching. Benefits Package 1.
