OVERVIEW
The Clubhouse Director manages overall daily operations of a Club site within A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club, Inc. with a primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations, and membership administration. The Clubhouse Director prioritizes and promotes safety of members, quality programs, and positive appearance of the Club at all times. The Clubhouse Director is responsible for providing positive guidance, discipline and role modeling to members and staff at all times. It’s customary for the Clubhouse Director to facilitate, lead and/or participate in special initiatives and events. Required Two-year or Four-year College Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. A minimum of three years in a recreational educational, or related youth fields. Boys & Girls Club of America alliances/organizations experience preferred, but not necessary. Illustrate skill in planning, organizing, promoting, implementing and evaluating program activities. Experience with hiring, supervising, and evaluating program personnel. Should have understanding and experience of individual and group dynamics. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google, Canva and other publishing and other computer applications. Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to patrol Club and grounds on foot, physically be able to separate children involved in a physical altercation, visually observe program areas, physically demonstrate the Club’s various recreational activities, and assist students with school/homework assignments. Possess current certificates in and be able to perform CPR and medical First Aid. Administer the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, and services that facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.

PROGRAMS
Plan and oversee the administration of designated Club programs and activities that support youth development – day to day activities with regards to staff development and program implementation. Provide timely updates and plan development goals and status updates to the Chief Executive Officer, BGCA Operations and Subcommittees of the Board of Directors. Establish program objectives and goals that are consistent with the organization’s mission. Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of programs and receive proper instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s). Ensure the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis and ensures programs respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity. Manage Club program and activity expenditures within approved budget. Identify opportunities for program outcome measurement. Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned volunteers and staff and perform these duties in their absence. Develop sound member communication methods. Delegate and monitor work assigned to program staff and volunteers, provide ongoing feedback and regular appraisal through performance reviews and evaluations to ensure productive and effective performance by all program staff and volunteers. Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including attendance, activities and events conducted, daily program participation data, notable achievements and any problems/issues. Collaborate with other departments in identifying funding opportunities related to current programs and future programming opportunities.
Build Relationships with community resources:
schools, parents, other groups as needed, in order to create pathways of membership growth and learning opportunities for members. Understand input & output of member tracking software. Supervision of program staff with regards to program implementation and assessment. Other duties as assigned.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve program effectiveness on the basis of participation and achievement of stated goals; recommends modifications to improve program performance. Develop a high level of understanding of the mission, principles and practices of the A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT
Identify opportunities for membership growth and mitigate hinderances to membership growth. Develop a plan for community connection and outreach, leveraging community resources as a way of promoting membership growth. Track, monitor and report statistical data as it relates to member attendance and activities that fall within our high priority outcome areas: Academic Success, Character & Citizenship Development, Healthy Lifestyles, Sports, Fitness and Recreation. Manage all aspects of member experience: participation, discipline, and outreach.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, the recruitment and retention of key personnel; facilities management; and budget management. Participate in the agency’s budget development process, monitor and report variances in revenues and expenditures. Manage administrative and operational processes, overseeing the maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds, equipment and vehicles. Manage performance of assigned staff in achieving goals, providing technical assistance in program design, development, community relations and program operations. Support and administer a staff development and training program. Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families and community organizations. Support Board Committees, as assigned. Participate in activities to maintain good public relations for Club programs, services and activities. Manage multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, subordinates, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies
