Genomic Research Engagement Officer 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1200 West Montgomery Road, Tuskegee, AL 36088 Position Information Position Title Genomic Research Engagement Officer Status Job Summary The Genomic Research Engagement Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to Genomic research center and working closely with leadership team to support the center’s main objectives. This role will lead operational planning relating to the research center activities and ensure optimal communication across stakeholders. This role involves building relationships and strengthen collaborations among research institutions, healthcare organizations, other academic centers and industry partners to enhance genomic research infrastructure Essential Job Duties Oversee the implementation of genomic infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with institutional and partner objectives. Monitor program progresses, address challenges, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, maintain physical and electronic filing systems. Organize and coordinate workshops, conferences, advisory board meetings and networking events to promote genomic research initiatives. Engage with community groups to ensure inclusivity and equity in genomic initiatives. Strengthen strategic partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare systems, and biotech/pharma companies. Identify and foster new relationships with other academic centers and industry partners. Develop and execute collaboration agreements to support genomic research projects and infrastructure development. Ensure all collaborations adhere to institutional policies, data-sharing agreement and regulatory standards. Stay updated on trends in genomic research and infrastructure. Develop innovative ways to communicate research-related information, education and outreach activities in the communities. Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) Master’s degree in biology, health management, public administration, health studies/promotion or related field. Doctorate in science, health administration or related field preferred. At least five years of experience in project management, development and/or strategic planning. Strong experience in project management and supervisory experience, preferably in an academic institution or clinical lab setting. Physical Demands Skills and Attributes Ability to anticipate problems relating to project management and to develop and implement solutions.
