Full-Time, Volunteer (with living stipend and education award) About Hunger Free America (HFA): Hunger Free America’s National AmeriCorps VISTA Program strengthens the capacity of nonprofit organizations across the country to fight hunger, reduce poverty, and improve health outcomes by expanding access to nutritious food for low-income individuals. The program also serves as a launchpad for developing the next generation of leaders committed to social justice and food equity.

Position Overview:

Feeding the Gulf Coast is seeking a motivated AmeriCorps VISTA member to serve a one-year term focused on designing and implementing tools that assess and enhance food access for communities along the Central Gulf Coast. This role will support the food bank in building a robust Food Access Measurement Framework that will shape the organization’s long-term strategy and define how success is measured in future hunger relief efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop surveys to assess food access across the food bank’s service area Gather and analyze data to improve the experience and outcomes for food-insecure individuals Support the creation of a new Food Access Measurement Framework for internal and external use Collaborate with teams across departments to integrate data-driven insights into program design Engage with community stakeholders to ensure the framework reflects local needs and realities
