Magnet Program Manager 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1600 7th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35233 Job Summary The Magnet Program Manager is a key leader responsible for planning, organizing, developing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the resources necessary to support alignment with the most current Magnet Recognition Program ® Application Manual, as defined by the ANCC, thereby achieving and maintaining Magnet recognition status for the organization. The manager is accountable for establishing and maintaining programs that contribute to the enculturation of the Magnet Recognition Program standards and compliance across all care sites, including inpatient, ambulatory, and regional facilities. This individual works closely with interprofessional leaders and staff throughout the organization, communicating requirements and developing strategies to secure Magnet designation and redesignation. They collaborate with multiple disciplines and departments to manage the preparation, submission, and site visits for both the designation and redesignation processes. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Master’s in Nursing required, Doctorate preferred Experience Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in the research process and evidence-based nursing practice Relevant experience as Magnet Program Director, Magnet Program Manager, or Magnet document preparation strongly preferred Previous work experience at a Magnet Recognized Hospital preferred Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Current RN License in the State of Alabama Current BLS certificate required Must obtain national certification in a leadership specialty area within three years of hire date
