MENTORING PROGRAM SPECIALIST
Ozarks Unlimited Resources Education Co-op (O.U.R. Co-op) Harrison, AR 72601 Support novice teachers in the co-op area. 240 day contract, commencing July 1, 2025.PREFERRED
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree Valid Arkansas Teaching License5 or more years of recent teaching experienceExperience as a building-level and/or district-level administratorStrong understanding of effective classroom management
Technology Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom and social media platformsStrong organizational skillsExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skillsGeneral knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional strategiesKnowledge of maintaining a budgetCoaching skillsServed in a leadership role
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Mentoring Program Specialist will conduct activities as outlined by DESE in the Novice Teacher Support Program for teachers in the first three years of their teaching career. The duties of the position will include the following: Provide support for building-level and/or district-level administrators in their first 3 yearsProvide training for the Novice teachersAttend training at the local, state, and national level, as neededMaintain records pertaining to the Novice Teacher Support ProgramDesign, coordinate, plan, schedule and present appropriate professional development for Novice TeachersWrite the grant for the Novice Teacher Support ProgramProvide support to District Assigned Novice Teacher MentorsProvide support to Novice Teacher AdvisorsProvide support to Novice Teachers including fostering relationships between novice teachers and various departments at the co-opCommunicate per the co-op mentoring plan with building and district administrators regarding assistance needed by Novice Teachers in their building/districtEnsure effectiveness of the Novice Teacher Support Program as defined in the ADE GrantAnalyze results of all requested surveysProvide on-site and zoom support for Novice TeachersAssist in maintaining social media platforms and websiteSupport federal Apprenticeship Program including entering data into RAPIDS, the Registered Apprenticeship Partners Information Database SystemPlan, attend, and organize recruitment eventsContact potential teacher candidatesAttend meetings (face-to-face and virtual) and trainings required by Co-op and DESECoach Novice Teachers as applicableSuccessful applicants must pass local, state and federal criminal background checks, as well as a child maltreatment registry check.
