The SNAP Food is Medicine Coordinator responsible for leading our state-wide Food as Medicine program, which provides medically tailored meals to those in need. The Food is Medicine program is designed to increase food security and access to fresh and nutritious foods while providing nutrition education and supportive resources. The Food is Medicine Coordinator will provide oversight, coordination, and technical assistance to providers (pantries) and those participating in the Food is Medicine Program. The coordinator will work with the entire Programs Department, other internal, and external stakeholders to implement this program and its operations as they impact the goals and outcomes of the initiatives. The SNAP Food is Medicine Coordinator will be comfortable learning new technology, as well as an eagerness to utilize Arkansas Foodbank software systems. They will possess strong interpersonal skills, a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, and a commitment to hunger relief. Support day-to-day implementation of FIM program activities. Provide recruitment, training, and technical assistance to program partners, including food providers and healthcare partners. Prepare, manage, and coordinate distribution of program educational materials. Conduct site visits to healthcare clinics and food providers. Coordinate and lead regular meetings with program partners. Support use of technologies for case management and program tracking. Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and evaluate healthy selections. Support program data management, including collecting, reviewing, and analyzing partner/participant engagement and survey data. Contribute to the development of program reporting. Monitor data collection from healthcare partners and ensure confidentiality, compliance, and adhere to information security standards. Engage in statewide and national coalitions to drive best practices for evidence-based Food is Medicine programming as directed by supervisors. Update standard operating procedures as needed to enhance programming. Requirements:

The following qualifications are preferred for the candidate or employee, however, other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of management. The equivalent of a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) preferably in nutrition, public health, or related field. Registered Dietitian credential preferred Ability to travel 60% in-state travel required Minimum experience 2 years – Public Health or Nutrition related experience preferred Experience in a non-profit organization is preferred Valid Arkansas driver’s license and proof of insurance. Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
