Position Title:
Program Coordinator Category/Classification:

Nonexempt/Regular Employee Reports to: Senior Program Specialist Summary/Objective The Program Coordinator will assist with the implementation of any new CHESLA programs. The Program Coordinator will also work closely with CHESLA’s Senior Program Specialist on the growth of its Outreach Program, marketing initiatives, program data analysis, administrative tasks, and other projects. The individual will play an important role in the daily operations of CHESLA. Essential Functions Provide accurate and quality customer service and information for all inquiries via phone, email, or mail. Participate in and present at student financial aid outreach seminars. Assist with marketing efforts and strategies. Offer ideas and participate in staff meetings to develop improvements to CHESLA. Independently maintain daily and monthly reports. Assist with the Request for Proposals process from start to finish. Manage and update contact database for the outreach program. Assist with the development of quarterly newsletters, social media posts, and website content. Continuing education for social media content and trends. Assist CHESLA staff in other activities as needed. Competencies Communication and customer service proficiencies Strong time management skills Attention to detail Computer proficient Microsoft Office Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently & collectively Social media & content management Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training Preferred Education and Experience Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Preferred fields of study and/or concentration include but are not limited to: Accounting, Business, Communications, Management/Media, Marketing/Information Technology, Economics, Finance. 1-2 years of experience in financial aid and/or project management. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office and a hybrid remote work environment may be available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Physical Demands Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodations. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday totaling 40 hours. Travel Travel is local, during and outside business hours. Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
