POSITION TITLE

Program Specialist National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault The National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault (SCESA) is looking for a dynamic individual to join their hardworking team as a Program Specialist. SCESA is an advocacy organization of Women. Our core work focuses on ensuring support for Communities of Color organizations working to end sexual assault across the nation as well as influencing and shaping national public policy to ensure the inclusion of the experiences and realities of Women and Girls of Color. The Program Specialist will work within a team environment to provide training and support to local organizations as well as administrative assistance with project related activities that contribute to carrying out organization goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Provide training and technical assistance through telephone, email, and on-site visits Plan, develop, implement logistics of webinars, national meetings, trainings and/or conferences Provide administrative and project related support to ensure completion of grant deliverables and goals/objectives of projects Assisting with drafting project related reports Assist with communication and engagement of community-based programs and national partners that address and are relevant to SCESA’s mission We are looking for a candidate that has: Work or volunteer experience in planning and organizing events, trainings, or meetings; Lived expertise, commitment and passion for working on issues that impact Women; Commitment to ending violence against women and specifically sexual assault; Self-motivated and the ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines; Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of Women both as staff and participants in organizational activities; Flexible and able to adapt and effectively handle changes and shifting priorities; Detail-oriented, excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and Ability to travel across the country as required. This is a full-time salaried position based in Connecticut or Massachusetts. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a generous benefits package.
