Head of Corporate Finance/IM/ERM Portfolio Corporate FunctionProgram Management Office (CFPMO) Full-Time Boston, MA orSpringfield, MA The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experiencedand motivated Senior Program Manager to manage a number oflong-term programs to implement the target state operating modelsand other strategy changes across our finance, investments and riskorganizations. This program will optimize and transform the people,process, and technology-related execution of these capabilities.
This is a multi-year, significant effort with a deep investment ofattention and resources. The programs will significantly transformthe financial processes for the company. Using your deep programmanagement expertise and experience managing programs similar inscale and impact, you will work with stakeholders throughout theenterprise, especially in our Investment Management, Finance, Riskand Technology organizations. The ideal candidate will have aproven track record of managing transformational, enterprise-wide,complex projects with significant budgets and effectivelycoordinating and aligning a cross-functional team. This role iscritical to ensuring a seamless program process, providing aframework for leaders to align business processes, and achievingthis program’s return on investment. This is a multi-yearinitiative that could result in material changes to the way we dobusiness. The Team This role reports to the Head of the CorporateFunction Program Management Office (CFPMO). The CFPMO wasestablished to oversee the execution of projects across CorporateFinance, Enterprise Risk, Investment Management, Law, and HR &Employee Experience, as well as define and own project managementstandards across the company. The team is focused on creating morevisibility into this work, while enabling better improvedprioritization, collaboration, and execution. This role willleverage and champion the project management standards andpractices and partner with their CFPMO teammates, especially thePortfolio Managers aligned to each Corporate Function to ensurecoordination and address interdependencies between the portfolios.
The role will closely collaborate with program sponsors across theorganization along with the executive leadership team steeringcommittee. Key Responsibilities 1. Planning and prioritization
- Define, own and facilitate the project prioritization processacross IM, CFO and ERM for projects factoring in available capacityand benefits
- Lead work, partnering with the Executive and ProgramSponsors, to establish timelines, set milestones and identify andacquire the resources required 2. Stakeholder Management
- Understand the needs and expectations of stakeholders throughoutthe Program Governance Structure, managing concerns and feedbackpromptly
- Establish the framework and oversee collaboration bydriving discussions and decisioning, instilling consistency, andpromoting discipline in defining and managing the delivery of theprogram
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to all stakeholders,ensuring the target operating model aligns with enterprisestrategic goals 3. Process Integration
- Evaluate existing projectmanagement processes, systems, and structures across functions tobuild the program; this will include a cross-functional team andpotentially contracting and directly managing third party resources
- Ensure program execution strategy is aligned with businessstrategies, company policies and target operating model expectedoutcomes and delivered upon consistently for value
- Analyze,understand and communicate the tradeoffs involved with roadmap andprioritization decisions 4. Change Management
- Build relationshipsand work closely with key stakeholders to identify areas of focus,anticipate change impacts, and assess change readiness
- Developand deliver change management strategies to support a smoothtransition, including effective communication, training, andongoing support
- Support this program through unexpected events,ambiguous information or changes in scope, timeline or stakeholderneeds 5. Program Governance
- Define success metrics and monitoragainst established goals and milestones
- Provide centralized andregular visibility via status reporting and demand capacitymonitoring
- Communicate risks, issues and dependencies and drivecollaborative, coordinated decision-making and resolution effortsamongst stakeholders
- Enable and ensure consistent implementationof people, process and technology improvements and plans to sustainthem 6. Team Leadership
- Design, build and lead direct programmanagement team, that is diverse and inclusive, to deliver program
- Provide clear direction, support, motivation and developmentopportunities to team members
- Role model an agile mindset throughchange and ambiguity; inspire others and drive culture ofcontinuous improvement. The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’sdegree
- 7 years of experience in project management
- Provensuccess in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to scope
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies
- Proficiency in project management software including but notlimited to MS Project, Smartsheet, and Jira as well as dashboardingand visualization tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI) TheIdeal Qualifications
- 10 years of program and project managementexperience
- 7 years of experience leading and managingpeople/teams
- 5 years of experience leading, managing, orcontributing to projects within Investment Management, CorporateFinance, and/or Enterprise Risk functions
- Robust knowledge ofInvestment Management, Corporate Finance, and/or Enterprise RiskManagement domains, acumen, processes, and systems as well asinterdependencies between end-to-end or shared processes
- Experience in financial services
- Project Management Professional(PMP) certification or equivalent
- Agile/Waterfall projectmanagement experience
- Robust knowledge and experience with bestpractices, especially related to communications, reporting,prioritization, capacity and resource planning, forecasting,financial planning, and performance measurement What to Expect asPart of MassMutual and the Team
